A Poignant Bliss

I leaf again and again through these miserable memories, and keep asking myself, was it then, in the glitter of that remote period, that the rift in my life began; or was my excessive desire for that child only the first evidence of an inherent singularity? I will take my memories with me. In a certain magic and fateful way, I had caught glimpses of an incomparably more poignant bliss.

The High-priced Damaged Art

We can't erase what was already written or drawn, we can't take back what was sang and said. Old friend, when our days were lived so separately and so apart, after a year or two we finally got each other out of our minds. Some sort of burial was done, quite hasty, quite dusty and quite carelessly. Ten years later, here we are again.. A beginning to something which never actually end. Our lives are now drawn on such major diversity the only connecting parts are our past. The hush-hush ten years ago — the little 'me' you know – and towards you were just an image of a boy whose face resting on his hand looking distantly out west.

Maybe you've been — to the place you were searching for but found not what you were pinning for — and back you are now, I wondered so constantly what you've seen and how you've felt. I guess so that the mystery goes both ways. Perhaps you now find me not who you are expecting to find too. The rough waves have its power to break something beyond recognition. But made a hell of damaged twigs in two person. Ha-ha, but damaged twigs make one hell of an artwork. The most expensive kind.

You have a beautiful nose. I couldn't stop gazing. But you know what the heart says?

A glance is too long, and a gaze is too short.

In-between, and there is no in-between. If there is, it's just the distance between us lips to lips. And the dreams lies in the exhalations of our sighs.

Armadillo!

Armadillo in a partyhat! I love animals, yes I do! All the odd ones are the ones with the most visual treats and interesting personalities! I'm exploding with joy!

my insomniac song

I love coffee, I love cups
I'm an insomniac coffee, cup, music, dogs, beetles lover.

Yo! Where's my Dung?!

I dig, I dig
I dig, dig, dig
I roll, I roll
I roll, roll, roll
I rub, I rub
I rub, rub, rub
my dung, my dung
my dung, dung, dung

Listen

Listen

Listen to the trees, listen to the flowers
listen to the wind, listen to the stars too
Listen to the things your eyes won't tell you

Ouroboros Ophis

Ouroboros Ophis

At the end is where I begin
Singing a song of Recreation and Death
The flowers may wither under the veiled moon
But at dawn another budding shall bloom

Manifested Troubles

After a long day of drawing, I finally feel a lot better.
I also found a new way of illustrating. I guess lately
I've been feeling that most of my end products look
more sketches-like than final outcome. But this, this
is indeed looking different, like I've finally wrapped
it up! Woohoo! Happy alas!

The Final Outcome

So this is it. The final outcomes.
I need to think of how to improve
on these soon. It was such a
beautiful and interesting topic
to talk about, yet I didn't manage
to give it the best it deserves.

Furthermore, life is a never-ending
project, isn't it? I am like a heart-sick
lover now, missing my ex because
I didn't see how wonderful he was
and now I am soaked with tears of
regrets.

Snapped

Took some photographs today.
Ever since I sit through another
lecture about Daniel Eatock, I
got influenced with the idea of
taking photographs of strange
finds daily.

Honestly, Daniel Eatock is just
one of those artists who seem
to just point out a weird/strange
find. Another person that I kind
of admire more would be Tony
Davidson. His weird finds are
hilarious, odd, and sometimes
it just makes you feel more
interested and attracted to the
objects, things, or place he
photographed.

Here are 3 that I've attempted to
begin this new-found habit with!

Personally, if you ask me which one i'd like the
most, I'd choose the last one. It makes you wonder.

Shawn's Big Fish

So the storyline finally arrived. I'm actually pretty thankful,
it was an adorable story. Shawn's Big Fish, the story revolves
around a polar bear name Shawn. One morning, Shawn's mother
and his two brothers went to the pond to learn fishing. But
the entire trip didn't really do any good for Shawn. His brothers
caught fishes but not Shawn. He got teased, he was upset, he was
sad and Mama Polar Bear tried to console him. He woke up the
next morning determined to catch himself a fish. So he practiced
and practiced, day after day. Finally, he caught himself a fish..
A BIG FAT FISH! Happy, and excited, he brought the fish home
and he was praised for his determination, perseverance.

A very common moral-of-the-story.

Creating the characters, clothing them and making them come
back to life is the most fun part for me. At first, there was a lot
of feedback from Amy (my client), that Shawn and his brothers
looks like Cats. I was highly discouraged and disheartened when
I heard that. Therefore, I learned that everyone sees things very
differently. The Polar Bears that I see is as unique as this.

We eventually came to an agreement to use this Polar bear
because after all I am the illustrator and I am supposed to design
the character myself, not be told how to. Everything turned out
wonderful at the end, and Amy was really happy. So, all is well!

I had a good fun out of this project! I'd definitely do this again
if given another chance~ Wooohoo!

So glad, we had this opportunity to illustrate a storybook.
This is a really good experience to have. Thank you,
LASALLE!
